Set up stands and send hunters their stand link
Enter your stands and blinds with map pins and a photo, assign hunters to morning, evening or all-day sits, and send each hunter one link that always shows their current stand.
Stands keeps your stands and blinds, and who's sitting in them each day, in one place. You enter each stand once, assign hunters to it on the day's board, and send each hunter a link that always shows where they're sitting next, with directions to the parking spot, the stand and the feeder.
Stands is on the Solo or Pro plan and above. See current plans and pricing at huntoutfitter.app/pricing.
Add your stands
- Open Stands from the Hunts section of the left nav.
- Click Add stand and give it a name. Pick a hunt area if you want the stand tied to one.
- Add up to three pins, Parking, Stand and Feeder, each as a decimal latitude and longitude (for example 31.4512, -99.8734). Every pin is optional, but a pin needs both numbers.
- Write a Note for the hunter, which is what they'll read on their link, and any Notes for staff, which hunters never see.
- Add one photo. A marked-up aerial of the walk-in works well.
Stand names must be unique. A stand you stop using can be deactivated, which leaves it out of the assignment picker, and reactivated later; nothing is deleted. Click Preview hunter page on any stand to see exactly what a hunter will see.
Assign hunters on the Stand board
Open Stand board from the Stands page. It shows one day at a time, starting today, with every booking whose hunt covers that day, grouped by hunting party. Cancelled, no-show and on-hold bookings aren't listed.
- Pick a stand for each hunter's Morning, Evening or All day sit. A hunter can have All day, or Morning and Evening, but not both on the same day.
- Add a staff note to any sit. Hunters never see it.
- If someone outside the hunter's party already holds that stand for an overlapping sit, you'll be asked to confirm with Assign anyway. Hunters in the same party can share a stand without a warning.
- Changing a hunter's stand updates their sit in place, and the activity log records the move.
Send the hunter their link
Click Copy link on a hunter's row and paste it into your own text or email to them; Hunt Outfitter doesn't send it for you. The link opens without a login and always shows the hunter's current sit: a morning sit until noon, and an evening or all-day sit until midnight, local time. It shows your outfit's name, the date and sit, the stand name, your note for the hunter, the photo, and Parking, Stand and Feeder buttons that open in Google Maps or onX. It never shows your staff notes, anyone's name or phone number, the booking code, other hunters or past sits.
- Copy link returns the same link every time, so moving a hunter to another stand never needs a new one.
- The link stops working the day after the hunt's last day.
- If a link has been forwarded, Rotate link turns off every old link for that booking and gives you a new one.
- For a hunter under 18, Copy link is turned off; send the parent's link instead.
What guides can do
Guides see Stands in their app, with the same board limited to the bookings they're on, and can assign stands for those hunters. Today's stand also shows on each hunt card in My Hunts. Cooks and other staff don't assign stands.
